Bulk Image Generation Alternatives: 7 Options and When to Pick Each

Alternatives to bulkimagegeneration.com: when BulkImagen, Ideogram, Midjourney, the OpenAI API, Kive, Canva or Adobe Firefly is the better choice.

Short answer: the closest alternatives to Bulk Image Generation are BulkImagen (prepaid packs instead of a subscription) and Ideogram's Batch Generation (spreadsheet upload, up to 500 rows). The OpenAI Batch API is cheaper if you can code. Midjourney, Kive, Canva Bulk Create and Adobe Firefly solve neighbouring problems, not the same one.

We wrote this ourselves, about our own product. That is unusual, so here is the deal: we list where another tool is the better choice, and every competitor fact comes from that vendor's own pages, checked on October 1, 2026, with links.

What Bulk Image Generation is, in one paragraph

Bulk Image Generation (bulkimagegeneration.com, operated by VP Solutions, Inc., San Francisco, running since 2024) generates up to 100 AI images in one batch. You paste a list of prompts or describe the set to an agent that writes the prompts for you. Flux, Nano Banana, Seedream, Ideogram and GPT-Image-2.5 are included in paid plans, along with batch background removal and face swap. Plans: Free (10 images a month), Hobby $29/month (about 50 images), Growth $39/month (about 1,000 images, commercial license), Premium $99/month (about 3,000).

It is not the same company as BulkImagen (bulkimagen.com), which appears first on the list below.

Reasons people look for an alternative

  • You don't want a subscription. Bulk Image Generation has monthly and annual plans only, no one-time packs.
  • Your prompts live in a spreadsheet. There is no CSV upload. You paste the list or describe the set.
  • You need more than 100 images in one run. A batch tops out at 100.
  • You want to script everything. A developer can get a lower per-image price straight from a model API.
  • You need the Midjourney look, your real product in the photo, or branded templates. Those are different tools.

1. BulkImagen: the same job without a subscription

BulkImagen is the most direct alternative. It generates images from a list of prompts, a CSV or an API, across 11 models, and returns a ZIP. You buy credits once and they don't expire.

  • Better than us when: you run a batch a few times a year, or you need CSV upload.
  • Weaker when: you want 100 images per batch without buying the largest pack. Batch size is 10 on the $20 pack, 50 on the $80 pack and 100 on the $320 pack.
  • Cost check: on the $20 pack an image costs $0.025 to $0.15 depending on the model. Our Growth plan works out to about $0.04 per image if you use the monthly allowance.

2. Ideogram Batch Generation: spreadsheets and large runs

Ideogram takes a .csv or .xlsx of up to 500 prompt rows with per-row settings and gives you a ZIP.

  • Better than us when: your prompts already sit in a sheet, you need more than 100 per run, or the images are text-heavy.
  • Weaker when: you want a choice of models, or you don't want to write every prompt yourself. Batch Generation is on the Pro plan at $60/month ($42/month billed annually).

3. OpenAI Batch API: lowest price, needs code

The Batch API accepts up to 50,000 image requests per batch at half price and returns them within 24 hours. GPT Image 2 is listed at $0.053 per 1024×1024 image at medium quality before the batch discount.

  • Better than us when: you have an engineer, volume is in the thousands, and waiting a day is fine.
  • Weaker when: you want results in minutes, a gallery to review, or no code.

4. Midjourney: variations, not lists

Midjourney returns four images per prompt. Permutation prompts expand one prompt into up to 4, 10 or 40 jobs depending on the plan, in Fast mode only, and its terms prohibit automated access.

  • Better than us when: the Midjourney aesthetic is the point and your set is variations of one idea.
  • Weaker when: you have 100 unrelated prompts.

5. Kive: your real product, across a catalog

Kive trains on photos of your product and bulk-generates shots across the catalog. Basic is $40/month for 2,000 credits, about 200 images.

  • Better than us when: the exact product has to appear in every image.
  • Weaker when: you need general-purpose images from prompts.

6. Canva Bulk Create: templates, not generation

Bulk Create connects a sheet to a design and produces one page per row, up to 300 rows, on Pro and above. It does not generate new AI images from prompts.

  • Better than us when: you need 200 versions of one branded layout with different names, prices or photos.

7. Adobe Firefly bulk actions: editing, not generation

Adobe's bulk actions remove backgrounds, color grade, crop and resize images you upload. Resize handles up to 1,000 images per upload and is limited to the Enterprise plan.

  • Better than us when: the images already exist and need the same edit.

When Bulk Image Generation is still the right choice

  • You need 20 to 100 different images in one run and don't want to write code.
  • You'd rather describe the set once than write every prompt.
  • You want several models on one bill and to pick per batch.
  • You generate every month, so about $0.04 per image on a subscription beats per-pack pricing.
  • You also need background removal or face swap across the whole set.
